from another topic it is noted that MA has authourised a modern promoter to promote P4 and P5 solos at the world superbike event at PI. The same is happenning at the Aussie Titles events around Australia. It would seem if the current promoting clubs do not lift their act, less top line bikes may be available to compete at the smaller meetings. I dont blame the riders for accepting the opportuniy offered. But how can the clubs lift their game to keep the entries up? Any ideas are most welcome.

John, Maybe the underlying reason is that Historic unlimiteds are such an attraction that they could in fact be needed by the Modern promoters. There is a sameness about modern bike racing especially on the local scene and superbikes, when you think about it all we are watching are modified street bikes except for the genuine racing classes such as GP125s and Sidecars. But in answer to your question that is a hard one, how do you compete with the higher profile on offer at these events. I dont know which is pretty unusual for me, I usually have an answer for everything even if I am not always right.
