Comments: Newcastle, NSW – Northern Districts Ducati Owners Club NSW Inc. is pleased announce the highly anticipated return of “Latins by the Lake” Italian Motorcycle Spectacular is to be held on Sunday 7 May 2006 at Speers Point Park, Speers Point on the picturesque shores of Lake Macquarie..

After a couple of years absence, the Latins by the Lake is back due to popular demand, but some with new twists. The Latins by the Lake event is the epicenter for Italian motorcycle enthusiasts who want to get the most out of their motorcycling experience.

The event focuses on restorations, high performance sport/streetbike, cruisers and scooter categories, from all Italian marquees. Steve Craven, President, for Northern Districts Ducati Owners Club NSW Inc, says this event celebrates the significant contributions made by the great visionary motorcycle manufacturers and designers from Italy throughout the years.

The show categories include: Best Touring Ducati Belt, Best Sport Ducati Belt, Best Otto Valve Ducati, Best Ducati Bevel, Best Ducati SS Bevel, Best Moto Guzzi, Best Other Italian – Under 500cc, Best Other Italian – Over 500cc, Best Single, Best Scooter, Best Modified, and Best Off-Road. All day long you will be entertained by the Show & Shine judging, trade exhibitors including motorcycle and parts manufacturers, product and apparel vendors, raffles and giveaways added into the mix to make it fun for the entire family.

Spectators have a chance to meet celebrity motorcycle riders and racers and the VIP Fitness 2006 Sports Models. By free admission, the event opens at 10.00am with event registrations closing at 12noon on Sunday, 7 May 2006. Judging will, as always, be by People’s Choice. The awards presentation will be held at 2pm followed by the raffle draws.
