Recently a rule change went through that few people saw.
The process for discussing rules in Victoria failed in that MV had an email delivery problem when they thought the 2018 Historic Commission minutes were forwarded on the the relevant committees, on 14 June 2017.
Subsequently a request to remove any restriction on the tyres of P5 sidecars went through without comment.
Mv is trying to have the matter reopened as a result of the email problem being discovered on 3 Sept 2018.
In the past the local state committees were informed of rule change requests and were able to investigate and report back their findings and comments on the matter.
The National Historic Commission would look at all presentations and make a decision about the matter, then that decision would be publicised and comments made by the state committees and then reconsidered by the National body.
That body is the final arbitrator of the rue changes.
Recently the system has broken down and we are trying to have it sorted out for the benefit of racers again.
